In the event of damage to the roof, repairs may be undertaken including, replacing damaged sheets, replacing cracked, broken or otherwise damaged tiles. In addition, it is advisable to maintain the ridge cap to ensure there are no leaks or maintenance issues. Preventative maintenance includes, replacement of roof screws and washers, repairs and maintenance to flashing including chimneys, and valley irons.
